GOLF COURSE POLICIES

Dress Code

Men

Slacks or full-length shorts (no more than three to four inches above the knee and without cargo pockets). Collared shirts must be worn and tucked in at all times.

Women

Pants or Bermuda length (no more than three to four inches above the knee), conventional blouses and tee shirts.

All Players

Proper golf attire is required at all times. Clothing with offensive language or designs, blue jeans, short shorts, tennis shorts, bathing suits, tank tops and halter tops are not considered suitable.

Course Policies

All golfers are required to:

  • Replace divots and repair ball marks.
  • Avoid trampling the fescue and walking on the bunker faces or causing damage to the course.
  • Remain outside of environmentally sensitive areas.
  • Follow all posted directions.
  • Avoid placing alcoholic beverages or cigars/cigarettes on any playing surface.
Pace of Play

All players are expected to maintain an acceptable pace of play. We ask that foursomes play in 4 hours and 15 minutes. Members are responsible for their guests. A group taking longer will be subject to action by our professional golf staff. Please walk briskly between shots, be ready for your turn and execute shots promptly. Keep pace with the group in front of you and be aware of players behind you at all times. Players are encouraged to “hit when ready” as long as other players are not endangered. Out of courtesy for others, any group taking a prolonged break at the halfway house or clubhouse will lose their place on the course and may resume play at a time that will not impede the group directly behind them.

Adherence To Cart Signs

All players are to follow the directions on the Car GOS system. It is required that all carts enter and exit by the red poles.

Lightning Safety

At the sound of the warning sirens, which is one long horn sound, all play must cease. Everyone must head back to the clubhouse or seek shelter in the grounds maintenance building. The Strike Guard System detects lightning for 10 miles in the surrounding area by identifying changes in the electromagnetic field. We have horn stations on buildings throughout the golf course, which are equipped with a blue strobe light that indicates a lightning delay when flashing. Players are not permitted to play until the golf staff has given the okay to resume after three long alarms for the all clear.

Bug Spray

All aerosols used for insect repellent should be applied away from grassed areas and never on a playing surface.
